Students celebrate
 Earth Day Online

Budapest British International School (BBIS), in Budapest, Hungary took part in the first online Earth Day. It was an important and powerful time to reflect on how our actions may change during and after ‘Covid-19’. The children discussed all the things and changes they have noticed about the world they live in and the positive impact they might have on the climate.

The students submitted over 60 videos with their creative ideas for after the ‘Covid-19’ and positive messages to Mother Earth. They are planting whilst at home, taking photos, cooking, and spending more time outside. A lot of the children ride bikes instead of using cars and have noticed the birds singing! The children in BBIS know it is ‘Time to Make a Change’ and that we are all part of it! Watch the video!

Eco-Schools students in Nepal win Air Video Challenge

A video challenge connected to the theme of Air was organised by Drishti Kathmandu, Nepal by a group of people deeply concerned about air quality in their country. The challenge was designed to raise awareness and search for solutions about pollution, that many locals complain about. A number of students from across Kathmandu participated in the challenge, but the Eco-Schools students won with a video about facts, people's feelings and perspectives as well as solutions to the problem of air pollution.

The children gave their very best and the output showed to be incredible. By taking this challenge, they got even more motivated and they continue to be involved in environmental issues and actions addressing them. Have a look at the winning video here!

You can still submit your Lesson Plans for Positive Action for SDGs!
